코로나 바이러스 19 사건으로 다시 재조명받고 있는 아노니의 노래 Hopelessness. 이 노래는 같은 이름의 앨범명을 가지고 있다. 환경파괴에 대한 내용을 담고 있으며, 이외에도 미국 정책을 중심으로 비판적인 내용의 곡들이 대거 수록되어 있다. 

 

아노니는 영국의 싱어송라이터의 앤소니 앤 더 존슨스 Antony and the Johnsons의 리드 보컬로 알려져 있다. 그녀의 실명은 Antony Hegarty 안토니 허가티이다. 앤소니 앤 더 존슨스이라는 그룹이 아닌 아노니라는 개인의 이름을 내걸고 처음 만든 앨범이 바로 앨범 [Hopelessness]이다. 일렉트로닉 팝, 신스팝, 실험음악, 댄스 장르를 전부 담은 이 앨범은 소리 뿐 아니라 가사의 내용들도 다채롭고 강력하다. 다양한 정치적인 가사들을 직접적으로 담고 있으며, 듣고 모호하게 가사 전달이 되는 것이 아니라 무엇이 잘못되어 비판받고 있는지 직접적으로 알 수 있는 매우 정치적인 앨범이다.
